Throughout this week, we’ve been proud to shine a spotlight on our apprentices and the impact apprenticeships have on individuals and our industry. This year’s theme, Skills for Life, couldn’t be more fitting.
Across System Five, analytics4energy and 4energy group, our apprentices are gaining far more than technical knowledge. They’re building confidence, learning to problem solve in real-world situations, developing communication and teamwork skills, and taking pride in seeing their work come to life on site.
From designing and upgrading head-end graphics, to commissioning systems, servicing sites and supporting engineers in the field, Jake Robbins, Louie Greensmith and Georgie Weaver are already making meaningful contributions to the building controls and energy management sector.
Georgie’s recognition as a 2025 BCIA Apprentice of the Year Finalist, Louie’s growing expertise in graphics and commissioning, and Jake’s end-to-end system design experience all demonstrate how apprenticeships combine structured learning with hands-on responsibility.
A sincere thank you to Group Horizon and the Building Controls Industry Association for their continued support in delivering high-quality apprenticeship training and helping to develop the skilled workforce our industry needs.
BEMS Apprenticeships don’t just support careers, they help build a smarter, more efficient and more sustainable built environment. Here’s to continuing to invest in talent and building the future of our industry.
